When asked this
question, I think of family, loving relationships, sense of humor and
zest for living, embracing the joy of helping others, making each day
special, going beyond the expected, growing in heart and mind, enjoying
a deep individual faith and the ability that faith provides me to stand
firm on my values…these are the things that are me!
Along with, of
course, my wonderful husband of four years, Phil---who by the way, does
all of the cooking in our family (WOW, did I luck out!) |

Just as
important are my two daughters, Angie and Nicki, who have always been
the nucleus of my life. Nicki is now married to a wonderful guy who
also loves to cook (like Mother, like Daughter!) Her marriage brought us
the joy of 2 granddaughters. Angie is very far away from us in Las
Vegas, but makes frequent trips home. My marriage to Phil brought me a
new son, Derek. Derek has added to our family with his new bride,
Lydia. Lydia is a favorite of the U of I Volleyball Team and an
exceptional athlete.
Years ago as a young
girl on the family farm, I would look down the lonely country road and
wonder where it would take me…college, marriage, being a stay-at-home
Mom till the girls were in school. We taught the girls to snow ski and
water ski. As the girls grew older, I realized I felt a need to reach
out in other ways. Meeting new friends and families, feeling the
satisfaction of helping others in a delightful (or, sometimes stressful)
time of change, creating lasting relationships. Fulfilling these
desires guided me to real estate. That was nearly 20 years ago.
Now, it’s still the
quiet moments of watching a golden leaf fall, briskly walking in the
morning sun or creating an oil painting on canvas that rejuvenate me.
But, it’s those special feelings of servicing the needs of a new family
moving into our great community or helping a seller meet the demands of
a hurried moving schedule that ignite my desire to provide the very best
service to my friends and clients. |

Ultimately, the one
thing that has remained constant throughout these years are my clients
and friends and those lasting relationships. Although my husband and
family are first and foremost in my heart, I have a love for those I
have been blessed to serve and look forward to each new day with the
challenge of helping others to my very best ability.
