Preparing to Represent You
The first thing we will do when you are preparing to purchase a home is meet for a consultation. Ideally, this should be done face-to-face, but it can be handled by e-mail and phone, if necessary (this can be helpful if you are relocating form another area). It is best if you are pre-approved with a lender before we sit down, so that we can realistically discuss your needs and desires. If you don't have a lender, we can refer you to some excellent ones in town.
During this consultation we will discuss several things:
Seriousness
If there are any questions you have before becoming serious about buying a home, this is the perfect time to bring those up.
Time Frame
It is important for us to know how quickly you need or want to move. If you want to find a home immediately, we will act diligently to educate you on the market so we can view those properties of most interest to you immediately. If purchasing immediately is not necessary, we have more time to acquaint you to the market and make the correct selections when you are ready to start viewing properties.
Wants & Needs
Once we know exactly what you want in a home, in full detail, we can sift through the available properties and set up times for you to see the properties that meet your needs. By screening these homes before setting appointments to view them, we save valuable time by making sure they fit your criteria.
Price Range
We will review your mortgage pre-approval and plan out our best strategy for finding a home that fits your budget, as well as your lifestyle.
