INSPECTION:
Your
offer was accepted! Now it is time to visit the property
again with a professional home inspector and have any other
inspections that need to be done. What a home inspector
will do is walk through the property with you, point out
things you might have originally missed, and give you tips
on maintaining the property once you own it. A home inspector
should not give you estimates on repairs. Their job is solely
to find any defects in the property and make sure you are
aware of them.
The
best way to get a fair home inspector is to go with one
with a good reputation and business practice. There are
home inspection companies that I have worked with in the
past, and I would gladly recommend one to you.
Once in a while, something is terribly wrong with the property
and must be fixed. In this situation, I will negotiate with
the seller on your behalf to make sure the problem is taken
care of.
